CMS Smarties Presentation Day "Alice in Wonderland"

On January 25th, 2025, CMS Smarties successfully held a Presentation Day. During this event, students and parents experienced a unique self-discovery journey in the evening, immersing themselves in different scenes while students from all levels showcased their talents and celebrated their learning achievements as expressive storytellers. Both teachers and students demonstrated their creativity and imagination through the "Alice in Wonderland" themed positive value reading program. The whimsical characters from the story came alive during the Presentation Day, fostering unity through positive values.

Students from P.1 to P.3 presented their learning journey in different key learning areas within their classrooms, while P.5 students delivered impressive performances in the hall. P.6 students incorporated immersive theatre into five famous scenes from the story: the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, the Queen of Hearts Trial, the Caterpillar's wisdom, Tunnels, the Pool of Tears, and a meeting with author Lewis Carroll. Their engaging performances provided interactive experiences for young children and parents, stimulating all five senses and contributing to a highly successful Presentation Day. Meanwhile, P.4 teachers and students organized a "Heart Searching Adventure" in Caine Lane Garden near the school, combining four interactive online puzzles with performances at different locations to engage students in collaborative problem-solving.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all parents, teachers, staff members, and support personnel who have strengthened the bonds within our CMS community and enhanced the significance of this event. Our collective efforts have successfully cultivated a passion for reading among our students, highlighting how essential reading is for both education and personal growth. As we reach this important point in our academic year, we are committed to nurturing these character strengths and positive values, continuing our journey as lifelong learners who share curiosity, creativity, courage, and love with each other. We look forward with great anticipation to next year's Presentation Day.

總堂學習成果展示日——「愛麗絲夢遊仙境」

一年一度的學習成果展示日於1月25日在學校圓滿舉行。在這次活動中,同學們化身為愛麗絲夢遊仙境的角色,自信地向蒞臨的家長及嘉賓展現學習成果,帶領大家體驗了一次獨特的自我探索之旅。老師和同學們齊心協力,將故事中角色的美德及品格優點展現得淋漓盡致,讓每位參與者都在學習旅程中獲得成長。

在這次成果展示日中,同學們在故事情節裡盡情發揮才能,以歌聲傳遞心聲,用語言表達愛。不論是五年級的禮堂匯演,還是一至三年級的教室表演,大家都通過生動的情境化故事,將知識與趣味完美融合,呈現出富有創意的表演。六年級的同學更將故事中六個經典場景融入沉浸式戲劇:瘋帽子的茶會、紅心皇后的審判、毛毛蟲的智慧、神奇隧道、淚水之池,以及與作者劉易斯·卡羅的會面,為觀眾帶來精彩的互動體驗。同時,四年級師生在學校附近的堅巷花園策劃了「尋心歷奇」活動,巧妙結合四個互動網上解謎遊戲與實地表演,讓參與者共同投入解決富有趣味的情境難題。

這次展示日的圓滿成功,實有賴於每位成員的積極參與和鼎力支持。我們在孩子心中播下了熱愛閱讀的種子,引導他們從閱讀中學習,從閱讀中領悟生命的意義,成為真正的終身學習者。透過是次活動,我們向彼此傳遞了好奇、創意、勇氣和愛。讓我們懷著期待,相約明年再聚!

 Finland Norra Korsholm School Visit at CMS

           On 22nd January, 2025, we had the privilege of hosting esteemed guests from Finland at our school, engaging in a fruitful exchange of educational insights and practices. Our guests observed an English reading lesson in Primary 1, and a Math lesson in Primary 3. Followed-by our principal, Joyce Chung warmly welcomed the Finnish delegation and provided an overview of our school's educational philosophy. The presentation emphasized our commitment to holistic development, inclusive education, and fostering lifelong learning. The visit culminated in a constructive dialogue between our educators and the Finnish guests. We shared similarities and differences in our educational systems, exploring opportunities for future collaboration and shared learning experiences. The visit was an enriching experience for all involved, offering valuable insights into diverse educational approaches. We look forward to nurturing this new relationship with our Finnish counterparts and exploring further opportunities for mutual growth and understanding. 


芬蘭 Norra Korsholm 參觀天主教總堂區學校 

   2025年1月22日,我們學校很榮幸地接待了來自芬蘭的尊貴教育工作者,進行了富有成效的教育交流活動。我們的來賓觀摩了小學一年級的英文閱讀課和小學三年級的數學課。隨後,宗藹雯校長對芬蘭教育代表團的來訪表示熱烈歡迎,並介紹了我校的辦學理念。交流包括了我校對學生全面的發展、融合教育和促進終身學習的承諾。這次訪問最終以我們的教育工作者和芬蘭教育代表團之間的建設性對話而告終。我們分享了雙方教育體系的異同,探討了未來合作和分享學習經驗的機會。我們期待未來能繼續與芬蘭的教育團體探索進一步促進共同發展和合作的機會。
