跨學科閱讀計劃
本學年下學期，我校以《巧克力冒險工廠》為主題，進行為期半年的跨學科閱讀活動，期望透過這本內容奇趣，帶出愛和感恩價值的書，讓同學們愛閱讀、勤閱讀。
這次的閱讀活動從學校的氛圍，包括環境佈置、課室壁報等，到課程設計，從
語文課、視覺藝術課延伸到德育課，以及各項引起學生閱讀興趣的「尋寶遊戲」… …
同學們都投入在學習活動當中，不少的同學都因此愛上了閱讀這位作者的作品。
Creative and Unique Christmas Holiday Homework.
Many students will get holiday homework, and our students are no different. However, the holiday homework our students get is not the typical homework that schools give, instead holiday homework from CMS is much more dynamic, and it is about daily life, both of the students, as well as for the average person. Confused? No problem, let’s have a look at what this new dynamic holiday homework actually entails.
Our school likes to give our students ownership of their homework, so students will have choices about which homework they complete. Our holiday homework is influenced by the theme our school wishes to promote. Gratitude is the main theme for our school this year, therefore, during the holidays, students were invited to create their own comics to spread kindness and gratitude to others in a creative way. If students didn’t wish to create a comic, they had other choices, such as project work.
After the holidays, our students brought their work to school and presented it in class one by one. We have students who designed a healthy menu for people to prevent diabetes. Some other students sent their love and caring to their family members through their comic strips. Some students took the most challenging task which was to promote the development of the Central and West District by start up a commercial project.
Students who produced the best work were invited to send their work into different competitions, showcasing their great talent. We are happy to announce that our students performed very admirably in a variety of competitions, such as the Master Chef competition, Startup competition etc. Through this dynamic and innovative approach to holiday homework, children can learn the value of teamwork and communication through their creativity, and also help promote the theme of gratitude.
